Using the Sketchbook pro app on my iPad……
For this tutorial I used the Sketchbook pro app on my iPad. You can draw small elements and add them to your journal pages. Draw them on their own image file and use them where ever you would like. Sometimes it’s just like doodling, keeping a bunch of doodles or small sketches and use them when you want to write something another time. This entire image is built on 10 layers. Layers won’t work when you want to blend paints and color, but in using layers you can even open the image delete a bunch of the layers and use parts of it to create a new page.
I’ll break this simple image down.
The bottom 2 layers used the airbrush to add color. The red is underneath the yellow.
I used 2 layers to build the colors in the leaves and another one to outline them.
The 3 layers above are worked back and forth depending on how I color or outline. From there I work on the underneath colors. I add some layers and work on them back and for the until I get the blend I want for the final page. Here are the rest of the layers.
