Adobe Ideas is one of Adobe’s apps for the iPad and I use it often to create journal pages. The pages here I created in 2 ways, both with a custom background. In the picture at the top of this post-
the background was painted with the SketchBook Pro app. The second image background is created in Corel Painter 12. Playing with the Sketchbook Pro and Corel brushes is fun and you can paint anytime with no mess.
For the Corel Painter 12 background I dropped the image into dropbox and opened it on my iPad. Then in Adobe Ideas I chose to use a picture for my first layer and built the
word from individual layers to intertwine the color in the words. Following are some screen shots of the layers that the words are on.
All the layers are visible in the next picture.I am going to turn them off one at a time so you can see how I use layers to color the words. If I mess up or don’t like a color or what I just did I can delete a layer and start over. One of the great things about Adobe Ideas is that it straightens out the lines you draw so they look better. This way if you draw shaky lines the app corrects it.
Next picture there are only 2 layers visible. You can see that by the checks in the layer boxes. We’ll just take a look at all the layers now.
