This piece consists of 74 stacks of four layers of beverage cans. There is a specific purpose for this piece, but we won’t go into this here. I’ll just say that my plan is to finish it in the next couple of weeks. At the present time it is planned to be attached to a piece of silver wire crochet. Not sure of that quite yet.
In this detail of the materials you have: beverage cans stacked, holes punched and the top layer cut in random squares. Beads are wired in between the layers to separate the stack. After the beads and wires are inserted, the wires are secured and then curled on the top of the stack.
This is a closer look at some of the finished pieces. The image is from one of the National Parks. If you can see what the image is, please make a comment and tell me where you think the image is from.
The image has been manipulated in Photoshop with abstract images blended into the original photograph.
Just finished this piece. It is 44″ long x 23″ wide.
